February Favorites

It has come to my attention that a product doesn't have to be new to be considered a favorite. I think that most people would say that their tastes change in the colors they use with their make up. My colors of choice this winter have been neutrals on my eyes, and a subtle pink lip and cheek. I feel like this is a look that is appropriate from season to season, you can go more intense for the winter months or for a night out and more subtle for the Spring and Summer months. I have several different pallets but my go to pallets are my Naked and Naked 2 eyeshadow pallets.

While these pallets are not new and everyone on the interwebs and beyond is very familiar with these items, they are timeless to me. There are so many different things you can do with just these two pallets. The possibilities are endless and month after month they are at the top of my favorites list. The one thing I hear on YouTube and the Internet when people talk about these pallets is that the shadows are not unique and I could not disagree with this more. While the colors are not unique because neutral colors are neutral colors, but the shadows themselves are fantastic. There is just something about the Urban Decay eyeshadow that makes them stand out no matter what the colors are. They are arguably the best shadows on the market.

I have been using ELF products for years, and they are my go to make up brand for every day use.  A long time ago ELF was the $1 make up that you could buy online only.  The selection wasn't fabulous but...HELLO...makeup for $1!!  ELF has seriously evolved since those days and come out with 3 different lines of products mineral, studio, and essential. The essential line is the old $1 line with some newer $2 products available. The Studio line is actually my favorite and where I buy most of products. A couple of weeks ago I ordered some new items and wanted to share them :-)

One of the big trends in beauty right now is B.B. cream. The allure of a B.B. cream is that it combines several different products (and steps) that you probably already incorporate into your makeup routine all into one product. Because I struggle with sensitive skin and break outs from using so many different products on my face I decided to give B.B. creams a try.

Comic Book Monogram

I love making my own wall art.  Not only is it way less expensive than purchasing it from a store but, to me, it also makes my place a little more homey.  When a friend of mine asked me to teach her how to Mod Podge a week ago, I decided to use that time to work on a monogram for my dining room.

Those nearest and dearest to me already know this; however, I don’t usually advertise that information to complete strangers, unless I have something important to say, so listen up!

I love a good hamburger.  Keep in mind, when I say “good hamburger” I don’t mean running through a local drive through, ordering an overpriced ball of grease in a paper bag and driving away.
